Reflection #1
Chapter 1: For my reflection I had chosen to reflect on our chapter 1-introduction online activities because it helped me comprehend all of what we were learning. I liked going online and watching the little clips they had on each section. The clips and activities that they had us do helped me understand the levels of life and how organisms are classified. I think you should do this activity in the future because it helped me understand how it all works and it should do the same for others.

Reflection #2
Chapter 2: For my reflection I chose to reflect on the chapter 2 chemistry activites, that we went online to do. I liked going online to go through these activities because you sometimes get to interact and do things on there to get yourself to understand these things better. I like doing these activities because I'm a hands on person and learn things better when I'm up close and personal. I think that you should keep doing these activities because they are a fun way of learning. I would change the way we did things because I would make us go more in depth with each section or chapter. I really liked this activity and hope to do more for the following chapters.

Reflection #3
Chapter 4: I chose to reflect on the cell organelle poster project because I really liked creating these posters and seeing how our factories and organizations today relate to a cell like the school for example and like a vacoule is similar to a locker, it stores stuff. We got to compare each of the functions of a cell to the parts of a store/organization or factory. It was really cool to see how similar everything was. You should definately continue doing this activity because it is so interesting. I wouldn't really change anything on this activity but make us go way way more in depth when we comparing things in a store and a cell.

Reflection #4
Chapter 6: I chose to reflect on the chapter 6 drawing notes. I really liked doing the drawings because we went to each picture/diagram to go in and label them then color them. We got to get up "personal" you could say to understand each one way better. I think you should do this packet again when covering this chapter because I like the hands on work and so does a lot of other people. I would change that the packets need to be more in depth and make us go in more depth to understand each concept better. This was an all together fun activity.

Reflection #5
Chapter #20: I chose to reflect on the chapter 20 vocab activity because we really got to go in and understand where each little system and organ goes in the human body. It all was in a fun way too, where we got to go in and see where and of what each system was and made up of. If I could change anything within this activity I would change that we would go more in depth and maybe do a seperate mini vocab man for each system in the whole human body. You should do this activity again in the future because it's a fun way to learn and understand the human body.

Reflection #6
Chapter 30: I chose to reflect on the rat skeleton project because it was a very interesting project. We started 2 weeks before Christmas break on that and we finally turned it in on January 11. We had to select the rat that we wanted to work with and take it to our station. Once we got it to our station we had to gut it, skin it, then have it pressure cooked so we could pick all the meat off the bones. After we picked off all the meat on the bones, we had to put the bones in peroxide so it could get rid of most of the little bits and pieces of meat left that we didn't get. Once the peroxide treatment was done, we had to put the rat bones in a dehydrator to dry the bones out. After that we had to construct the entire rat back together, so when we were done it would be a rat skeleton. While you are constructing this rat, you had to be sure to also take care of the hide. We had to tan the hide to where it was at least some what nice. The worst part about putting the skeleton together was trying to figure out how the vertebrae went. You wanted to make sure that all the bones were some what in the right spot. The feet were just as bad, it took forever to figure out where all the bones properly go. Everything else was pretty easy to construct and it was actually really cool to see what you created once you were done. I think you should do this again in the following years because it definitely was a great experience to do. If I could change this in any way I would have them not have to worry about the hide what so ever because if you were to leave the rat hide out just for a little bit it would harden up and it wouldn't be right. Other than that I really liked this project.

Reflection #7
Lab: I chose to reflect on lab 1 when we did that autopsy on a pickle or "person" you could say. We had to follow the procedure on what to do when looking in depth to figure out how our "person" died. We were given a story to look at and then maybe get a minor idea of what had happend. While furthur investigating you may get a different idea on what may have happend. While my partner and I were investigating the death of our pickle we had come to the conclusion that our "person" was walking through the woods and accidentally mistaken for a deer and shot. This lab was one of the funnest labs I've done so far because it was really fun to act like we were litterally doing an autopsy to figure out what happend. If I could change anything I would make it more difficult to figure out what happened to our "person." I would definately do this activity again in the future because it was really fun.

Reflection #8
Other: I chose to reflect on chapter 6 online activities because I really enjoyed doing this because it's a fun way to learn about the things we did in chapter 6. It's a good hands on activity for us to learn from. I enjoy doing these online activities because I'm a hands on learner and I get to understand the concept way better. If I could change anything in this activity I would change that we would have to go more in depth with this and look at the subject more. I recommend you doing this more in the future because I really got to understand it more with this type of activity.

Reflection #9
Chapter 28: I chose to relfect on the Scanning of the Brain activity. We had to go only and look at all the different types of abreviations to find out their meanings and what those scannings did. It was a good way to learn which scan was what and for what type of brain injury or problem would be found under that scanning process. With this activity we had to also build a neuron, label the structures and know their functions. I liked this activity because we were able to be creative while being able to learn. I think you should do this activity again in the future because it was a good one to do.

Reflection #10
Chapter 21: I chose to reflect on Chapter 21 Vocab Activity because it was a fun activity to do to learn about the digestive system. We had to write a short story of a piece of food traveling through the digestive system while using 20 vocabulary words within the story. It seems like it would be really difficult to do, but if you worked together you could figure it out and it didn't seem to difficult. I really liked this activity because some of the stories were really creative and funny to listen to. I think you should do this activity in the future because it's a good one to do to help the kids to understand the vocabulary a little better.

Reflection #11
Chapter 23: I chose to reflect on Lesson 1; Presenting the Patient because we learned how to analyze information on a patient and his problem with his heart to determine why he's having the problems he is having. Our patients name was Bill Harvey and he had some bad habits leading up to his problems with his heart. We had to caculate the calories and fats in a food to see if he was eating healthy and responsibly. When we added up his total, it was way beyond the normal/healthy numbers. Because of that, we had to recreate a healthier menu for Mr. Harvey. I liked this activity because it was interesting to see what problems could lead up to heart problems and I think you should do this activity in the future.

Reflection #12
My Choise: I chose to reflect on Lab #4 Urine Lab. In this lab we had to select a liquid and an amount of it we wanted to drink. In a period of 3 hours when you first woke up you had to pee in a bottle labeled with milliliters. Once you woke up you would do your 0 hour pee and then drink the substance you were assigned. Every hour you had to pee in the bottle and record the amount the smell and you had to test it with a pee strip to see what may have been contained in your urine. This lab was a very interesting lab to do because it was difficult to do, but really weird and fun all in the same time. You definitely should do this lab in the future because other classes would enjoy and think it is fun to see everyone else's results.

Reflection #13
Chapter 22: I chose to reflect on the Chapter 22 Vocab Activity because it was a fun way to learn the vocabulary for this chapter. I had to right a few sentences describing the path of air, where it begins and where it ends. After we wrote that paragraph we had to write another paragraph explaining the same thing but with the vocabulary, at least ten vocab words. This was a fun activity and you should definitely keep doing this because it helps to understand the vocab words and what is what in the system.

Reflection #14
Chapter 26: I chose to reflect on the Virtual Pig Dissection because it was a great activity to do. In this activity we had to look up and follow along with an actual lab that explains the different parts of the pig and what their purpose is. We first had to learn about sexing the pig. We learned how that worked. We also had to learn about the digestive system, excretory system, circulatory system, respiratory system, reproduction system and the nervous system. After we learned about that we had to take a quiz until we understood the system well and got all the questions correct. This was a good activity, so do it again in the future.

Reflection #15
My choice: I chose to reflect on Lab #7 Measuring Lung Capacity because it was a fun lab to do. We had to take a long tube like baggy and take a rubber band and wrap it around a funnel tube, that we can breathe through. We had to take a deep breath and breathe as much air into the tube as possible. Once we did that we had to close off some parts of the tube to see how much air capacity we have in our lungs. Once we were done with that we had to answer questions and fill out a graph and answer questions to that as well. This was a really cool lab so do it again in the future.
